Demos of Various Types of Lessons Built with ToolBook 10.5 and Other Products Available

This page provides links to the various types of ToolBook projects I have worked on and illustrate what can be done with ToolBook Instructor 10.5 and serves as a single launch point for demonstrations, tutorials, and samples found elsewhere on this Website. In addition, links are provided at the bottom to jump quickly to products/services available as well as a quick link to a demo of an LMS where you can see many different types of lessons in action from within an LMS environment.

Demonstrations and Tutorials

Over the years, I have developed a number of demonstrations to show the power of ToolBook as well as quite a few tutorials. Note that some of these links are included elsewhere on this page.

ToolBook Rapid Development Suite

The ToolBook Rapid Development Suite (RDS) is a collection of services, utilities, and ToolBook applications that integrate into a process of Web Based Training program development. Our goal is to work with you to put a process in place that enables you to more effectively create the training you need in the most efficient manner possible.

The RDS

The Project Data Management System

The Project Data Management System (PDMS) is a series of ASP pages that interact with an SQL Database on a Web Server. The PDMS provides a means of organizing and managing your ToolBook training projects. Projects can be identified, principals involved can be identified, and lessons added within any project. The system is set up to allow for 3 QA cycles: QA1 Review, QA2 Review, and SME Review (Subject Matter Expert). On the ToolBook side of the process is the Comment Collector System that allows the reviewers to enter comments. On the PDMS side of the process, project principals (including the ToolBook developers) can review those comments and respond to them. If you want to view a live demo of this, contact me tomhall1@tcc-pub.com and I will set up a session with you.

The Comment Collector System

Do you have a need for an efficient way of tracking changes needed to your ToolBook files during your Quality Assurance process?  Quite often it is likely that you just produce the HTML product, have folks go through it, write down what they find as problems, and then it's up to you then to locate those problems and make the fixes. Our Comment Collector System is part of the PDMS but can be set up as a standalone tool to help during a review process.
